Tool Care
Tandoc Tools edged implements are created using primarily carbon steels. In many cases this means that they will rust if neglected. Tandoc Tools Vintage Camo is a combination of multicolored Birchwood-Casey Gun-Kote and oxidation that forms as a result of the heat treating process. This coating helps to protect the carbon steel from damage from the elements. Tandoc Tools recommends a periodic light coating of a high quality gun oil or olive oil to help further protect your investments.


Tool Use
Tools are designed to perform specific functions. If they are used to perform a task for which they are not designed, they may incur damage or be destroyed. To illustrate, a knife when used improperly as a pry bar, may break or bend. At Tandoc Tools we design our products so they can withstand a certain amount of abuse because we realize that if you need a pry bar, but only have a knife, you must make due. However, please recognize that this construes gross negligence and is unforgivable. That being said, we at Tandoc Tools regularly misuse our own products in an effort to test them for durability and usability. Many a rock has been whacked; many a 2x4 smitten to make sure our products will perform their best for you in the field and in your life. It's all done to ensure that you receive the very best tool and because it’s fun.
